Academic community celebrates natal day of Mariners System’s Chairperson Emeritus

Canaman, Camarines Sur – A simple but memorable birthday bash was given to Madame Eliza Lazaro-Jimenez, Chairperson Emeritus by the Mariners System’s academic community.

The event was started with a Thanksgiving Mass at the school chapel and followed by a program and dinner at the poolside of the Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF), this province.

The celebration was highlighted with the birthday messages delivered by the sons and daughters of the celebrant starting with Commodore Dante Jimenez – President of MPCF Legazpi City and Camarines Sur, Dr. Marilissa J. Ampuan – President of Mariners Polytechnic Colleges (MPC) Naga City, Dr. Gabriel L. Jimenez, Executive Vice President of MPC-Naga and Board of Trustees Member Ms. Evita L. Jimenez.

It was a celebration of thanksgiving and well-wishing for Madame Eliza who is also co-Foundress of Mariners System with the Founder, the late Commodore Jaime C. Jimenez, Sr.

A singer and a band played all-time favorite music during dinner. The friends of Mariners joined the academic community in the celebration.

One of the guests who paid tribute to Madame Eliza was singer/actress Ms. Imelda Papin who is former Vice Governor of the Province of Camarines Sur.

At 92 years old, the matriarch of the Jimenez Family and Mariners System can still cherish occasions like this in which she is given honor by loved-ones and the members of the institution’s academic community.
